FAQ

Q: Are you a "real" model?
A: Yes. I am a professional model. I get paid to have my picture taken and it is my primary source of income (hence why I do very little TF work).

Q: What got you into modeling? How did you start?
A: A friend of mine is a makeup artist, and she was looking to update her portfolio. Her parents are professional photographers, so it was pretty for her to set it all up. She came up with the plans to do a shoot related to vampires and other horror makeup. She sent out a Facebook event invitation to her friends and asked people that were interested in being a part of it to let her know. I got the invite and let her know that I wanted to be a part of the shoot. (I had wanted to be a model when I was younger, about 13, and got a call back audition thing at a casting, but never really did anything about it, so I forgot about it.) I did a few different shoots with her and her parents and other friends of ours that wanted to be involved with it, and I realized I really loved being a model. I decided to focus on school, so I didn't really pursue it. A few months later, a few of my friends contacted me and said they'd seen the pictures from that shoot, and that they had assignments for their photography classes that needed models, and wondered if I would work with them on it. After those few shoots with my friends I realized that I really had a passion for the industry, and wanted to pursue it more seriously. I basically threw myself into becoming a successful model, and I've been doing it ever since.

Q: How long have you been modeling?
A: My first professional shoot was in June of 2009, then I took a break for 6 months. And in December of 2009 I started to do what I needed to make a career out of it.

Q: Advice for new photographers and models?
A:
Yep! You can check out my advice for photographers here, and my advice for models here. :)
I created separate pages for them because they were so long, lol.

----------MY MOST ASKED QUESTION----------
Q: What hair dye do you use?
A: My hair is usually blue and purple (except on the rare occasion that I have to dye it black for a specific shoot), and I always use Splat's Blue Envy and Lusty Lavender. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good, long lasting, blue and/or purple hair dye.
It won't damage your hair and the color lasts for a very long time. The only time that I ever have to redye it is because of my roots growing out, not because the color has faded too much. It's inexpensive and can be found at Walgreens, CVS, and other such places. It also has more dye in one bottle than other brands such as Manic Panic and RAW. It also comes with bleach, so if you need to bleach your roots when you redye it, you have the bleach you need.
Splat is very concentrated, so it bleeds a lot when you first wash it out, and bleeds a little whenever it gets wet, but it won't rub off on anything when it's dry (I've had that happen with Manic Panic, RAW, and another brand that I can't remember the name of).
Because of the high concentration, it remains vibrant even when it's "fading". I seldom bleach my hair, but I don't have to do anything to it to make it as vibrant as it is. It's just as vibrant on my natural blonde hair as it is when it's bleached. So, if you have darker hair, you'll need to bleach it, but if you have blonde hair, you'll be fine. :)

Q: How often do you have to redye your hair?
A: Only when my roots start to grow out, or if I want to touch up some spots if I missed them. So, once every 3 or 4 weeks. The colors look awesome the entire time unless I go swimming at the beach.

Q: What do your family and friends think of your modeling?
A: I'm honestly not sure what most of my family thinks about it. My mom is incredibly supportive, as is my step dad. Their opinions are honestly they only opinions that matter out of my family members. :)

Q: Will you shoot with me?
A: If you are interested in working with me, please check out this page.
